President-elect Cheryl called the meeting to order at 7 am. After the pledge and 4-Way Test, Kevin Barko introduced our newest member, Buckeye Fire Chief Jake Rhoades. Chief Rhoades briefly introduced himself and was warmly welcomed into the club. Our speaker last week was Cassie Wilkins of All Faith Community Services of Buckeye, introduced to the club by our esteemed member, Jackie A. Meck, former Mayor of Buckeye. All Faith programs service Buckeye and Goodyear. All Faith have been offering short- and long-term assistance to families in need for over 26 years. A few of their programs are: Emergency Food and Baby boxes Clothing Bank Education and Job Training Special Events Every program is run by volunteers. Ms. Wilkins said, while they will never turn away a volunteer, they have particular need for volunteers with talents in quilting, sewing, beading, painting, beauty and personal development, fitness and nutrition. If you have any of these qualities, please consider a call to All Faith and donate your time and expertise. Todd Halberg spoke about his bucket list/ fundraiser, which he will attempt and conquer this coming weekend. Swim from Alcatraz Island across the current to the opposite side and land on the Beach of St. Francis. Money he raises will go to All Faith. We look forward to a follow up report.
