Our speaker on December 3 was Buckeye Police Chief Larry Hall. Chief Hall updated us on staffing and coverage issues around the city.  He also mentioned the developer of the Vestar shopping center at McDowell and Verrado have provided the City of Buckeye with 2,000 sq ft of space in the center for a police substation. On December 7, 2023, Chief Hall announced his retirement after a decade as the Chief of Police.  In the words of former Mayor Jackie Meck, Chief Hall was the finest chief in the history of Buckeye.  Congratulations Chief Hall and thank you.  

 

President Cheryl announced last week that the club has been asked to help staff the Salvation Army donation kettles outside Fry's Supermarket on Indian School Road, for Saturday December 9, Saturday December 16 and Saturday December 23.  If you are unable to take a shift on one of these Saturdays, you can volunteer for any open shift.  All sign ups or on-line.  Please click on this link:  SIGN UP HERE.
