Verrado High Student and BYC Member Maddie Guy presents Her Project

At the April 8 meeting, Maddie Guy, a senior at Verrado High School and a dedicated member of the Buckeye Youth Council, presented her impactful Youth Council Project. Maddie worked tirelessly to bring comfort and gratitude to deployed military members through her thoughtful initiative.

Her project focused on gathering food and gifts to be sent to service members abroad, ensuring they feel appreciated and supported while away from home. Collaborating directly with the Blue Star Mothers group, Maddie organized and participated in several activities that made her project a success:
- Attending a memorial service commemorating veterans to gain deeper insight into their needs.
- Partnering with organizations such as the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Blue Star Moms.
- Packing boxes filled with essential items and heartfelt gifts for troops.
- Raising funds through donations to cover mailing costs.
- Hosting a lively packing party to bring the community together for the cause.
The presentation was well received and the ub very impressed with Maddie's initiative and pla planning. Well done!

Rotary Club of Verrado Welcomes Hans Driessnack

At our April 8th meeting, we welcomed Hans Driessnack, CEO of Abrazo West Campus as our speaker.

Mr. Driessnack highlighted the opening of a brand-new 60,000-square-foot medical office building near Verrado, which will house specialists in neurology, cardiac medicine, OB/GYN, and other fields. This new facility promises to enhance access to top-tier medical care for our residents.

In addition, Mr. Driessnack spoke about groundbreaking innovations at the Abrazo West Campus, including the new stroke intervention center, the state-of-the-art DaVinci surgical robot, and the hybrid OR. These advancements solidify Abrazo West as a premier Level I trauma center, equipped to provide cutting-edge care.

We thank Mr. Driessnack for sharing these exciting developments and for his dedication to advancing healthcare in our community!
