Last Week at RotaryPresident Holly thanks Charley Freericks for speaking to the club today. Mr Freericks was one of the original employees at Verrado who helped the founders of the community turn their vision into reality. He now is Phoenix Region President for Howard Hughes Holdings, Inc., and is responsible for the development of the Teravalis Community which is being developed at Cactus Road and the Sun Valley parkway. Teravalis is a 70 - 100 year project which is projected to have 300,000 residents at full build out. The first homes are expected to be occupied sometime in 2025. | From our club's Facebook Post this week: We introduced another great new member this morning, Alan Robinson! Born in the UK, Alan learned his skills as a fire fighter in the Air Force. He retired after 32 years of fire fighting in Orange County & discovered Verrado. He's the founder of the annual Patriot Day Memorial Climb on the 1,980 steps of the Verrado stairs. Welcome, Alan! Alan poses with President Holly & his sponsor, Doug Bredow. |
