The club was captivated by George Cannelos' slide show and presentation about Alaska.Tracking Alaska’s history from the time of the land bridge to Asia, to the purchase from Russia in 1867 through statehood and the Trans Alaska pipeline, George painted a vivid picture of the rich history of Alaska. He transitioned to current times, sharing photos of his travels around Alaska last summer with MaryLu, Rhonda, and Todd as they enjoyed sites around the state. The photographs gave a small taste of the bountiful beauty and diversity of the 49th State and the Last Frontier.
