Meet Our New Members We recently added three new members to our club. Returning to Verrado is Vernon Walker. New members are Steve Ciucci and Linda Adamski. Steve was formally introduced to the club on February 13. Vernon will be formally welcomed back and Linda will be introduced at an upcoming meeting. In the meantime, seek out and welcome your new fellow Rotarians. Vernon K. WalkerWe welcome back Vernon Walker to the Club. Vernon originally joined the club in August 2019, and has just returned from a post-retirement break. Vernon is from New Orleans, Louisian where he graduated from West Jefferson High School. He attended Nicolls State University and studied Aviation Science. Vernon is a veteran, having served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer and Investigator. He also served the City of Gretna, Louisiana, Police Department. He also worked as Executive Protection Specialist for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation. In Arizona he was recruited by the City of Glendale Public Water Utilities and holds an ADEQ Class 4 Operations and Treatment Certification. Vernon is also Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor (Walker Aviation), the source of his Rotary classification, Aviation. Your Rotary family welcomes you back, Vernon.
Steve CiucciSteve Cuicci’s unique classification is “Astronomer”. He chairs the Astronomy Association of Arizona & will proudly show you deep space objects through his telescope. Steve is a prior Rotarian from Moline, Illinois. Married for 52 years to Diane, they have two daughters & two granddaughters. He’s a Navy veteran, has a degree in chemistry from Michigan State & an MBA from the University of Oregon. Describing himself as a “science guy”, he enjoyed a long career in sales, marketing & management with Parr Instrument Company, designing and building high precision laboratory equipment in Illinois. He admires Frank Lloyd Wright architecture and makes stained glass windows in his spare time. Welcome to Verrado Rotary, Steve, we are glad to have you. |
