🌟 Welcoming New Member: Gary Gudex
The Rotary Club of Verrado is delighted to welcome Gary Gudex as one of our newest members. Gary and his wife, Kim, made Victory their home in 2017 after relocating from Sister Bay, Wisconsin. Since 2023, they’ve embraced the snowbird lifestyle—enjoying our Arizona sunshine in the fall and winter, then returning to the cool beauty of Sister Bay during the summer months.
Family is at the heart of Gary’s life. He and Kim have two adult sons: Tim, who lives with his family in St. Charles, Illinois, and Derek, who resides with his family in Overland Park, Kansas. Their four grandchildren—three granddaughters and one grandson—range from age 7 to 20, with the eldest currently a sophomore at Kansas State University.
Both Gary and Kim are proud graduates of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and although they didn’t meet there, fate brought them together years later while working for the same company in Los Angeles. True to their Wisconsin roots, they remain enthusiastic supporters of the state’s professional and collegiate sports teams.
Gary brings with him an impressive 47-year career in the commercial insurance industry, where he served as both an underwriter and a manager. His experience spans everything from small businesses to large national accounts across a wide range of industries. He jokes that he “retired” three times before officially stepping away from the profession in 2021. His career path took the Gudex family to several cities across the Midwest and the West, enriching their lives with diverse experiences and communities.
When it comes to leisure, Gary and Kim share a love for golf, travel—both domestic and international—and quality time with family and friends.
