“A New Beginning: President Holly Nott Takes the Helm”
The Verrado Rotary Club gathered one last time during this Rotary year, bidding farewell to Past President Cheryl Peterson and her dedicated team. The room buzzed with anticipation as they welcomed the dawn of a new era under the leadership of President Holly Nott.
The meeting unfolded seamlessly, orchestrated by Gen. George Cannelos. The highlight? A captivating slide show chronicling President Holly’s remarkable journey, narrated with warmth and admiration.

From New England to Arizona: A Life Unfolds
The images flickered across the screen, revealing snapshots of Holly’s life. Born and raised in the picturesque landscapes of New England. Her later move to Arizona was a leap of faith—a sun-kissed chapter that would shape her destiny.

Family Ties and Athletic Feats
We glimpsed her family—laughter echoing through generations. Holly’s children and grandchildren, their smiles etched in pixels, spoke of love and shared memories.  But especially her mother Pat who inspired her to become a real estate agent and led her into her Rotary family.
Holly’s prowess as an athlete surprised none of us but its breadth and depth did. The same determination that fueled her teaching and real estate careers had once driven her to being a high school star in swimming, diving and track. Today she trains to compete in the Boston Marathon.  She embodies the spirit of perseverance, both in sports and in life.

Teacher, Mentor, and Now President
As a teacher, Holly has touched countless lives. Her classroom was a canvas where dreams took shape, where young minds blossomed. And now, as President, she would continue that legacy—guiding the Verrado Rotary Club toward impactful projects and community service.

Serendipity and Shared Joy
But the most enchanting part of the slideshow was the tale of serendipity. Holly met her husband, Mike Nott, in a twist of fate. Their shared interests, laughter, and unwavering support became the foundation of their beautiful life together. The room held its breath as their love story unfolded in pixels.

Passing the Baton
Finally, it was time for President Cheryl to pass the baton. She stepped forward and the applause that followed was heartfelt—a chorus of gratitude for her tireless service over the past year.
As Holly accepted the responsibility, the room erupted in cheers. The Verrado Rotary Club had a new leader—one whose journey was etched in success in leadership, whose heart beat for community, and whose legacy has yet to be written.
And so, with hope and camaraderie, President Holly Nott embarked on her term—a beacon of service, a bridge between past and future.  Good luck President Holly!
