Mental Health Support in and for the Heart of Verrado

Although recently launched on April 7th, the vision of Beautiful Mind Arizona originated 10 years ago when Bertha Jones and Yilia Myhre were employed as nurses at a local hospital. As they started to see a need for mental health support, they began to discuss some ideas that grew to a vision, and they began to take steps toward a business to provide mental health support. Both nurses studied and achieved the status of nurse practitioners. Bertha and Yilia knew now was the time to not only fulfil their dream to own a clinic, but to begin to provide awareness, help, and treatment for those suffering from mental illness.

The West Valley has a severe shortage of mental health providers, so the arrival of this clinic in Verrado is both timely and significant. Beautiful Mind  will be serving all ages from 5 all the way to adulthood, and will treat patients suffering depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, mood, and other psychiatric diagnosis. There will be related services provided by team members with their own entities to provide therapy in both individual and group settings.

Bertha is a former Marine and veteran of the Iraq war, and Ylia attended Grand Canyon University, and we're glad to have them with us to share their story.
