15 Rotarians and friends enjoyed our field trip on July 15.  We spent a very enjoyable hour at the Buckeye Valley Museum thanks to Chris Larsen and her staff and the coordination of Mayor Meck.  The museum is an interesting treasure trove of documented history about the area we now call home.  Did you know Mayor Meck's number 12 football jersey was retired by Buckeye High School when he graduated?  There were many exhibits honoring Buckeye Valley service members, an exhibit of a barber shop which was in downtown Buckeye for 50 years including the original barber chair, a beautiful old library card file rescued and donated by Verlyne Meck which is now used to archive visitor comment cards for the future.  There is so much to see and learn at the Buckeye Museum. If you missed it, put it on your list of things to do in Buckeye.
