Special grandparents, and Special Needs kids

Candie's grandparents were Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, and their love for children was evident to their many fans...especially the youngest.  Roy, Dale, and Trigger visited countless children's hospital wards to cheer and raise spirits of the boys and girls suffering with illness or injury.  Roy and Dale's own family was a large one, with some of their children by birth, and some by adoption.  In 1952, they welcomed one of their own, Robin Elizabeth Rogers, who was soon diagnosed with Down's Syndrome.  Candie shares their loving response (rare in celebrity society in that era), and how, as a substitute teacher, she carries that same love and compassion for the children with special needs in our Litchfield and Agua Fria elementary, middle, and high schools.
