AT BUCKEYE CITY HALL, City Manager's Update, and City Hall Tour

Buckeye's City Manager is responsible to the City Council to administer all of the city’s daily operations and to implement council policies. That is a considerable scope of responsibility, and to fill that role, the Buckeye City Council selected Dan Cotterman as its City Manager in February of 2022.  Mr. Cotterman brings over 20 years of business experience to the city, the last nine years in municipal government at the city of Goodyear.

With his six years as Deputy City Manager of Goodyear, Dan has first-hand knowledge of the challenges that face a fast-growing city like Buckeye.  “Mr. Cotterman came highly recommended by his peers, colleagues and the business community,” said Buckeye Mayor Eric Orsborn. “Dan has proven executive experience and the ability to be a results-oriented leader. He was the logical choice to lead Buckeye into the future.”

Dan has a Master’s Degree in information systems and a Bachelor of Science in information technology from the University of Phoenix. He has also received the Credentialed Manager designation by the International City/County Management Association for his senior managerial experience in local government.
