White Tank Mountains Conservancy

The White Tank Mountains Conservancy is the brainchild of Todd Hornback, and it occurred to him through his leadership role with DMB.   DMB is the developer of Verrado, Buckeye’s first master-planned community, and is known for sustainable development that honors the history and heritage of each site.  As the concept of conserving the White Tanks began to take shape, his first call was to our own Mayor Jackie Meck.  Together they assembled a team to build the organization and created six areas of focus:   Regional planning and Partnerships, Stewardship and Volunteerism, Research, Education and Training, Tourism and Attractions, Advocacy and Public Policy

Todd believes that the White Tank Mountains have an important history, and his idea and his work with the Conservancy is to make sure that we learn that we all learn that history, and preserve it for the long haul.  Todd and his wife Shelly have a long and strong record of leadership in the West Valley, and we’re pleased to hear from him this morning.
